Released by TIM (Tokumashoten Intermedia Inc) in 1992, The Legend of the Galactic Heroes SNES version was not very well received. Indeed, the gameplay was agonsing in control, pace, riddled with random combat output and worst of all its appalling animation as if a knockoff of the original. The only thing worth mentioning is music, at least TIM kept the sound aspect on par. I became a fan of the animated series growing up as a young adult. The narrative and music really took my breath away, got me hooked almost instantly. Despite having a slow narrative issue even then, I let the long preachy dialog slide. Overall, it was an emotional ride. Highly recommend the original series to anyone who has not seen it, do not play this game though for it is atrocious. Probably took me over 200 cuts to dish out this clip. Ending wise, I have no idea how to keep Yang alive on Reinhard’s route, please let me know if there is an alternative to Yang’s finale. Rating: 2/10 (it is BAD trust me)
